For thirty years, I taught language arts and coached boys and girls basketball in Michigan. I completed my bachelor's degree in English and teaching at the University of Michigan-Flint and followed it up with a master's in educational leadership from Eastern Michigan University. I currently live in Crossville, Tennessee, with my wife of thirty-seven years. Over the past thirteen years, I've published eight novels.
Within the realms of mystery, suspense, and the paranormal, my three-book Clay and Tanner Thomas series, Loving the Rain, Skeleton Key, and Bulletproof form father-son amateur detective mysteries, delving into the enigmatic world of parapsychology. Lost and Found is a stand-alone missing person mystery which becomes a treasure hunt, its roots reaching back to the tumult of WWII.
My novel, Jumper, twice spent time on best-seller lists and received awards for both best indy science fiction and best indy suspense. The time-travel adventure was the first of my time-travel series, followed by Planer and Warper.
My latest release, The Lake House, is a suspenseful murder mystery led by a police detective who races against time to unravel a web of murders and disappearances.
In addition to my novels, I impart wisdom and humor through my blog, The Red Pen, where I share glimpses of my life, offer inspiration, and dispense writing tips with a hint of sarcasm.
